Nintendo flags for loss of sales
Japanese Nintendo is now flagging a reduced demand for the company’s game console Switch. In connection with the latest interim figures, a forecast of 15 million sold consoles is reported for the full year, lower than the analysts’ average forecast of 15.7 million consoles.
During the last full year, sales were 17.9 million units, while the company’s operating profit exceeded market expectations. In addition to the tougher economic situation for many consumers, Nintendo is now predicted to face increasingly tougher competition from Sony’s Playstation 5 console.
