Nintendo is ending content sharing from Switch consoles by cutting off its integration with social media platform Twitter.
NintendoElon Musk’s social media platform X (formerly known as twitter) announced that it has completely ended its integration with . With this outage, users will not be able to send content directly from their Nintendo Switch consoles to the social media platform as of June 10.
Nintendo Users Can No Longer Share on Twitter
According to Nintendo’s statement on its website, Nintendo Switch users will no longer be able to share screenshots and videos from their albums directly to X. Additionally, the option to send friend requests via the social media platform will also be removed. On the other hand, Nintendo stated that it is still possible to send screenshots and videos to Facebook, but stated that this feature may be turned off in the future.
Especially Super Smash Bros. Significant changes are also being introduced for games such as Ultimate, Splatoon 3 and Splatoon 2. Smash Ultimate players will not be able to send screenshots from the Nintendo Switch Album to Smash World. Similarly, Splatoon series players will not be able to share content to X from mailboxes in Splatsville, Inkopolis Plaza, or Inkopolis Square.
To reduce the impact of these restrictions, Nintendo recommends its users to transfer their content wirelessly to their smart devices or to their computers via a USB cable.
