Nine shot dead in Ecuador

Interior Minister Juan Zapata told the Ecuavisa TV channel that the attack was carried out by 30 armed people who arrived in boats and cars and opened fire in a port where up to 2,000 people were.

The background is said to be a revenge action in a conflict between rival gangs, where fishermen in the town chose a rival gang for protection.
