After the hearings, the prosecutor decided to release three activists. But six of them are accused of “aggravated disturbance of public order”. Five have already been taken to the Lomé civil prison. Mrs. Dovi Amouzou, 74 years old, president of the Dynamique Mgr Kpodzro, since the death of Gabriel Agbéyome Kodjo, suffers from heart problems, but she remains in the premises of the intelligence services.

According to a person close to the DMK, last Wednesday five activists went to one of the markets in Lomé to raise awareness among women with a banner on which was written “ the republican emergency says no to the modification of the Constitution, the immediate cessation of the current electoral process to finally create an inclusive national meeting “.

For his part, the public prosecutor had the activists arrested the same day and 24 hours later, he affirmed that “ while no demonstrations are authorized, they were caught distributing leaflets and chanting slogans inciting revolt “. The prosecutor immediately opens summary proceedings against them and the trial date should be announced quickly.
