The competition nerves were palpable in many of the participants when the second episode of “Let’s dance” started on TV 4. After last week’s warm-up episode, it was now a matter of staying in the competition. There were quick feet and caressing steps, and many of the participants had trained hard to improve their dancing skills.
Johanna Lind Bagge, together with dance partner Tobias Wallin, continued to deliver, this week with a quick step. The pair went straight into the lead when the jury announced their scores: 19.
— Crazy high level on the quick stepen! Small choreographic mistakes but position, posture, feet – good! praised referee Dermot Clemenger.
Renaida Braun and Tobias Bader also had a good premiere. Now it was a matter of completing a quick step – or “rally on heels”, as Renaida Braun put it. And the couple managed it gallantly:
— It was resilient, explosive and a really good quick step, was Tony Irving’s assessment.
The dance led to a second place in the jury’s score.
The first duel of the year was between Johan Jureskog and dance partner Hedvig Löfwall, and Nilla Fischer with partner Cecilia Ehrling Danermark. Both couples danced an American Smooth.
And both Johan and Nilla had improved the dance considerably since last time, according to the judges. In the end, it was the Swedish people who voted Johan Jureskog and Hedvig Löfwall to remain in the competition.
“Of course I will continue dancing,” said Nilla Fischer.
