In recent years, he has also taken to social media to reach out with his thoughts and opinions about, above all, what is happening in the SHL. Many listen to the good Wikegård and appreciate his brutally honest words and on Instagram he is appreciated for his continuous videos.

Turned 60 years old

Niklas Wikegård recently celebrated his 60th birthday and shared his birthday with many other Swedish sports figures who Ljubomir Vranjes, Jan-Ove Waldner, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Anna Holmlund. But now he breaks the silence again.
– I want to thank you for all the congratulations when I turned 60 last week. Overwhelming, both on texts, emails, social channels and people I met. I’ve been away for a week but now I’m back, he says in a new video on Instagram, see it below.

Wikegård then shows off a present he received and which he is very fond of. Namely a guide for all the teams in the WC and EC tournaments in 1962, where the Swedish team was made up of icons who Sven “Tumba” Johansson, Ulf Sterner and Lennart “Klimpen” Häggroth.
– I got this from the WC and EC in 1962, a year before I was born. This is history! Fantastically cool, I think, says the TV4 profile before throwing away the most unexpected pass to Leif Borksee the video below.
– I wonder if Leif Boork could have cut off both his right and left hand to get over this rarity. He might already have it too.

Surely Niklas Wikegård is just too lovely? Share the article and have your say!
