“End them! America always loves Israel”.
So reads the American one politician, and former presidential candidate, Nikki Haley’s written message on an Israeli artillery shell, reports Israeli media.
The Republican is currently in Israel to show his support for the country’s ongoing offensive in Rafah.
Haley visited the country’s northern region on Tuesday, where she expressed support for Israel, reports say Times of Israel. Among other things, she visited, together with the former Israeli UN ambassador and current Knesset member Danny Danon, a military base where they met soldiers on the country’s northern border. That’s when Haley wrote the message “End them! America will always love Israel” with a heart on an artillery shell.
Global criticism
Haley’s visit comes as Israel has drawn global criticism for its ground offensive in the Gaza Strip city of Rafah. Earlier on Tuesday evening, Sweden’s Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson, among other things, called on Israel to stop the offensive in Rafah on X.
“There are many of us who see great risks of further civilian deaths, as in Sunday’s attack at a tent camp. Sweden and the EU expect Israel to follow the decision of the International Court of Justice and stop the offensive in Rafah to protect civilians,” he writes on X.
Israeli Air Force
Sunday’s attack to which Kristersson is referring killed at least 40 people when a fire spread among the refugee tents after an Israeli air raid.
At the latest during the night of Tuesday, 16 civilians are said to have been killed near the area that was attacked on Sunday, the Tal al-Sultan neighborhood in western Rafah.
