Nikki Haley will be out of the election battle in

Juri von Bonsdorff assesses the significance of the New Hampshire primary in the United States in ‘s morning.

Donald Trump’s strength in the New Hampshire primary simply means that the Republicans want Trump back in the White House. That’s what ‘s U.S. editor thinks Yuri von Bonsdorff Up in the morning.

– He has clearly been welcomed back to the leadership of the unofficial party, von Bonsdorff said.

According to him, the situation also signals that the Republican Party does not have such strong candidates that they would be able to threaten Trump’s position.

Trump’s competitor With Nikki Haley was what he thought was a thousand-buck place in New Hampshire, considered a moderate state. However, he failed to inspire enough voters.

According to von Bonsdorff, the big question is how long Haley will stay in the race. Haley performed energetically after the primary and emphasized that the race is not over. Von Bonsdorff noted that Haley has a campaign event on Wednesday in South Carolina, where the next important primary will be held. Haley has reportedly bought advertising time from local TV channels.

– It seems that he intends to continue the campaign for a long time. But on the other hand, all the candidates always say that they are fully involved – until they then announce that they will drop out, says von Bonsdorff.

– According to my own assessment, I see no way that he has any more chances to win this election or this party’s nomination. And probably his financiers will also let him know this little by little, von Bonsdorff continues.

He expects Haley to be “out of the game” in the next few weeks or maybe sooner.

The next primaries are in Nevada in less than a couple of weeks, but according to von Bonsdorff, they are quite insignificant for party technical reasons. The next important primary is in South Carolina on February 24th.

In her speech, Haley said that her “own beloved South Carolina” is next in line. By this he was referring to his years as state governor from 2011 to 2017.

Von Bonsdorff estimates that South Carolina will not help Haley at all.

– Trump has an overwhelming lead there, around 40 percentage points. The current governor and senators and many other powerful politicians there have given their support to him and not to Nikki Haley. So that’s also one thing that contributes to the fact that Haley doesn’t seem to have a path forward in this race.
