During the Game Awards 2024, FromSoftware announced a multiplayer mode for Elden Ring: Nightreign. Now there is new information about the network test.
What kind of mode is this? Nightreign for Elden Ring is neither a DLC nor a sequel, but a spin-off. Teams with up to three members have to survive three nights, defeat opponents, equip themselves and defeat a final boss.
This makes Nightreign a kind of rogue-like with battle royale elements. You can see what this should look like in the trailer here:

When will Nightreign be released? FromSoftware has announced the release for 2025. However, a specific release date is not yet known.
How much should Nightreign cost? A specific price for Nightreign is not yet known. However, it should not be sold at full price.
Do I have to own Elden Ring to play Nightreign? No, you can also buy and play Nightreign without owning Elden Ring.
Which platforms will Nightreign be released for? The multiplayer will be released for PC, including Steam, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4 and PS5.

When does the network test start? The network test starts on February 14, 2025. A total of five sessions will take place until February 17th:
How do you take part in the Network Test? To participate, you must also register on the official Nightreign page at Bandai Namco. The network test participants will be selected from those registered. The registration deadline is January 20, 2025.
What is tested in the network test? Bandai Namco writes that this is a stress test intended to evaluate various functions of the online system and performance. In contrast to the final game, the content of the test is limited and some texts and game functions may differ.
