All are welcome at the trick-or-treating-style event, which will be taking place Halloween night.
“We’ve been working away at it since August,” Josh Thompson, one of the event’s founders, said in a release. “We’re hoping everyone will enjoy all the effort everyone has been putting into it again this year.”
Last year, more than 1,000 people headed to the 304 to 340 block of Nelson Street to walk through the large displays, interact with live actors and be entertained by the animatronics.
Crystal and Clarence Spencer have worked through the night setting up their display.
“Halloween is the one day of the year everyone can be whatever they want, have fun and express themselves,” Crystal said. “Whether it’s scary or goofy, it’s always fun.”

Several new neighbors also have decided to join in and will be decorating for the first time this year.
Highlights include a witch’s lair, a tentacled zombie, an animated winged gargoyle and a 3.5-meter grim reaper, in addition to other large animatronics and a mini maze.
“It’s my hope that one day, a majority of the neighborhoods in town will decorate,” co-founder Kristen Charron said.
There are several other impressive displays each year throughout the community, including ones on Albert Street and Murray Street, she said.
“Wallaceburg could be known as Halloween Town. There’s such a rich history here, with the Baldoon Mystery and the Haunted Museum,” Charron said. “I hope other neighborhoods will join us in the future to make Halloween a frightfully fun holiday for everyone.”
