A patient in Malung-Sälen alerted the security center just before two in the morning. But since the patient only mumbled in response when called, the night patrol thought he had accidentally raised the alarm in his sleep, and never went outside.

The next morning, the day staff found the patient confused and incapacitated, and an ambulance was called. At the hospital, it was established that the patient had suffered a major stroke. The patient later died at the hospital.

The municipality and the social administration have now lex Sarah-reported the incident to the Inspectorate for Care and Care, reports Falu-Kuriren.

After that, the routine of always following up on silent alarms has been introduced into the business.
