Thanks to their victory respectively against Libya (1-0) and Rwanda (3-0), Nigeria and Benin have taken a big step towards qualification in group D. Nigeria is leader after its small, but precious , success against Libya. The Nigerians were slow to make the difference and were liberated by Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, a providential scorer in the 87th minute, 13 minutes after coming into play. Benin, for its part, was more imperial with a victory full of authority against Rwanda. Steve Mounié opened the scoring (7th), Andreas Hountondji made the break (67th) and Hassane Imourane closed the score (70th). The Cheetahs, second, now have a four-point lead over third-placed Rwanda.
