Isn’t the arrival of the shelter too late?
An entire summer had to pass before the plan for the Nieuwegein shelter ship could be completed. And yes, you can call that late, also knows Niek Wolters, department head of Social Development at the municipality of Nieuwegein.
“But better late than never. And we didn’t want to be secretive about the shelter either. It’s not nothing, and we didn’t want residents to think: huh, is this going to happen all of a sudden? Now people have months to participate think about how we are going to set this up best.”
