A 31-year-old Nieuwegeiner who is suspected of two brutal rape attempts in Utrecht has previously been sentenced to 15 years in prison in Amsterdam for another serious crime. This emerged this morning during a preparatory session in the trial against the man. It is unclear what crime was involved at the time.
