Nicolas Lunabba has been praised many times for his work with children and young people at risk. He spoke in the summer of 2021, and was then praised for his humanization of young people who end up in spirals of violence. Nicolas is now making his debut as an author, with the book “Will you be sad if I die?”.
The book is about Sweden, betrayal, crime, poverty and young people who kill and are killed.
Now Nicolas Lunabba is a guest on Nyhetsmorgon, where he talks about how today’s gang shootings, where the perpetrators are minors, are a consequence of the segregation in society.
– Young people are so isolated in their self-hatred and limited future prospects that in the worst case they can commit murder. So that’s what we live with, and what we see as the consequences of what we’ve created.
He also gives a boot to Sweden’s politicians and those in power about how the debate is conducted.
– I would like that instead of constantly talking about crime, destructiveness, and coming up with purely racist statements, we have to start talking about how we create the sustainable society that we have all the conditions to create, says Nicolas.
