Dead by Daylight adds Nicolas Cage as a playable Survivor with acting powers.
Nicolas Cage (Renfield, Pig) is now a playable character in Behavior Interactive’s venerable multiplayer survival horror game Dead by Daylight, where Survivors vs Killers. It brings the power of acting to the game’s world of terror known as The Fog.
Starting today, game fans and movie buffs alike can portray iconic actor Nicolas Cage as a destined Survivor fighting for his life in Dead by Daylight in the Public Test Build, available only on Steam. This marks the first time a well-known figure has joined the play and played a fictionalized version of himself.
A Theaterman in the Cage of Being: Nicolas Cage
After numerous awards and the making of more than a hundred films worldwide, Nicolas Cage had seen and accomplished it all – or so he thought. While filming the role that will be remembered for a lifetime on set, his performance summoned the Presence, a malevolent entity with unimaginable power. The actor soon found himself in the cast of the otherworldly Mist, who is forced to survive a series of terrifying killers more deadly than even the harshest film critic.
Players can enjoy three brand new character benefits that open up new gameplay:
- With dramaturgy, actors will allow their instincts to take control when the intensity rises. They may not be able to predict the outcome, but that’s what makes it so exciting, right?
- Every actor needs a Stage Partner. When using this Perk, looking at the Killer gives players a deeper insight into their processes, allowing them to better predict their next move.
- Finally – a plot in the third act can really breathe new life into both the film and The Trial. Players will use their unrivaled acting talents to delve deeper into the characters than ever before and make a bold decision that is as risky as it is rewarding.
