Erik Brannstrom, a player in the Senators, has seen Alfredsson on the ice during training. For Expressen, the 24-year-old tells that he believes that Alfie could have performed in the NHL even today, and that the former winger had averaged one point per game.
Lidström’s dick
At a press conference together with Niklas Lidström, Daniel Alfredsson slams Brännström’s statement.
– No, those would not be such good numbers. It’s easy in practice sometimes, and I can still shoot the puck. So sometimes it might look good, but I’m pretty far from good physical shape that’s good enough to play matches. So there wouldn’t be many points, I think, he says.

For the international media on site, Lidas offered to translate from Swedish to English.
– Alfie was asked if he can still play, and he replied that he might put on the protection tonight, so keep an eye on it, said Lidström and generated laughter in the hall.
