Färjestad may have found its top center.
According to Värmland’s Folkblad, they are now linked with Remi Elie, with credentials from the NHL – after a move on social media.

Färjestad enters the new SHL season as reigning Swedish champions. After a long and motley season for the Karlstad team, they were able to emerge as winners after a dramatic final against Luleå, and during the summer they have not exactly been on the lazy side when it comes to their already star-studded squad.
Connects with the star
FBK has made several strong signings, and not least they have extended with key players such as Theodor Lennström, who is returning from Russia. But at the same time, the club has been open about looking for a top center.
Now you may have found exactly what you were looking for. The club is now connected with Remi Elie, with credentials from the NHL. Attentive Färjestad fans have noted that Elie’s girlfriend has started following Färjestad on Instagram, which many interpret as a clear hint that signing may be underway.
“Nice that people are paying attention”
Färjestad’s sporting director Rickard Wallin doesn’t boast that they have an eye on the player, who played over 100 NHL games.
– Nice that people are paying attention. I’ve got a handle on him. I understand that people are curious about who it might be. We constantly probe the market and try to get hold of something. We have a few different tracks, he tells VF.
Remi Elie, 27, was drafted by the Dallas Stars almost ten years ago, in the second round. Over the years, there have been games in just the Stars, but also the Buffalo Sabers and the Tampa Bay Lightning. He played games in the NHL as recently as during the winter, but otherwise it has mainly been games in the AHL.
