DENVER. Coloradon Mikko Rantanen and Artturi Lehkonen start fighting early Thursday morning in the Stanley Cup final series. The previous two championships have been won by Tampa Bay.

Athlete Expert Ismo Lehkonen creates its own look at the starting finale through three themes. Lehkonen explains where the championships of both teams lie, and what role Finnish players play.

Why does Colorado win?

Good offensive play starts with a quick defense that takes all the time and space away from Tampa. Turning it into an attack is an advantage for Colorado.

Nathan MacKinnon win Steven Stamkosin chain, this is no secret. Darcy Kuemper turns a delicious challenge in the goalkeeper game to his advantage and backs it down Andrei Vasilevskin.

Why does Tampa Bay win?

It’s all about the puck game. If Tampa’s disc game play is good and the rhythm is okay, it will stick to the strengths of its game.

If Tampa Bay wins, Stamkos has busted MacKinnon. There is a lot of talk in North America about the battle of the top players, here too it is in the big part. Vasilevski has defeated Darcy Kuemper.

What do you expect from Finns?

Rantanen has to be a big player, there are no two words about it. He recognizes the challenge and wants to meet it. He specifically wants to make a difference.

Lehkonen is battling his own battle against Tampa’s second basket players. Lehkonen and Colorado’s back players must beat Tampa’s players.

Childhood friends

The most coveted trophy in club hockey has come to Finland last five years ago. Then Olli Määttä celebrated the championship in the ranks of Pittsburgh.

The people of Turku who have known each other since they were children are trying to bring the trophy to Finland again.

– It’s not uncommon to get to play in the Stanley Cup with a childhood guy. Yes, it feels good, Lehkonen, who traded from Montreal to Colorado in the middle of the season, crocheted the final series for Urheil on media day.

The Finnish duo is on fire with the beginning of the series and common goals. Lehkonen was losing the final series with Montreal to Tampa just a year ago, leaving the player with a huge hunger. Lehkonen, who has now become one of the sensational players of the spring, wants revenge.

– The feeling of a final loss cannot be properly described. When you fight for one trophy all year long and stay short on the finish line, it’s a pretty raw feeling. Hopefully now we will go all the way to the end.

Colorado has been betting to become a champion candidate in recent years, but has bent three times in a row in the second round of the playoffs. It is the determination of Mikko Rantanen and the more experienced core group in Colorado.

When the Avalanche knocked down St. Louis this time in the second round, a metaphorical sigh could be felt.

– It was a relief, it can’t be denied. It felt good to go over that stage. But we didn’t go to taste it either. The hunger increased immediately. Here are the things to do, Rantanen said.

Rantanen has a clear view of what is now unlike the spring of disappointment.

– Short memory. We will not be left to celebrate profits too much or be too depressed about losses. We have the next game in mind and I think it’s important in the playoffs.

Colorado gets to the finals by a well-rested and slightly lighter path in all respects. In both Nashville and Edmonton, it won directly in four games. In total, it played only 14 matches in three rounds, with Tampa on the other hand only 16.

– It’s a big advantage, because everyone has bumps and ailments at this point. The dudes get to heal them when they get a few extra days off. I think this is an advantage for us, Rantanen believed.

Colorado is likely to get into the series without a great second center to play through Nazem Kadriawhile Tampa Bay is recovering from a sick superstar Brayden Point. Gambling is one interesting theme.

Rantanen doesn’t want to change too much because of his opponent.

– They have a high-quality and deep team, but we have to play with our own strengths. Skating and game speed are the best we can hit the table and then see what’s enough. That is our main plan.

– You have to stay in your own game and live in an instant. A steady series is coming, Lehkonen shouted.
