PURCHASED THE WORLD’S FIRST SMS AS NFT! HERE IS THE PRICE

According to DW’s report, the British operator said that the first text message in history was sold as an NFT at an auction. An important part of the digital age, SMS’s NFT was sold to an unnamed buyer for 107,000 Euros ($121,000). Paying in Ethereum, a cryptocurrency, the buyer received a detailed and unique copy of the original communication protocol, which transmitted the world’s first SMS.

Proceeds from the sale will be donated to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).

WHAT IS NFT?

NFT (Non-Fungible-Token) cannot be exchanged or traded. In this respect, they have the value of being unique. For example, when an artist or person converts a work of his own to NFT, these NFTs cannot be changed. NFTs have a private digital signature, which is copyrighted. On the other hand, with the sale made from the NFT in question, the royalty fee is paid in crypto to the owner of the NFT each time.

NFT stands for non-tradable tokens. It means transforming works of art into digital and selling them digitally. Its most important feature is that it is unique. NFTs use blockchain technology. Cryptocurrencies such as bitcoin and ethereum also use blockchain technology.
