The end of this week has been rainy, windy and wet in many places.
It will continue during Saturday evening and night.
– But in the middle of next week, the wind of change will blow over Sweden – then it can be up to 30 degrees, says Foreca meteorologist Jenna Salminen.
This week’s storm has been partly dramatic, with strong winds and torrential rain. It also rained heavily in places on Friday, SMHI has issued a warning of floods and the risk of fallen trees.
It won’t really be that bad on Saturday and Sunday, but there will be hardly any sunlight.
– In the north of Sweden, there will be quite strong gusts of wind, while it is calmer to the south, says Jenna Salminen.
In terms of temperature, it will be colder in the north and warmer in the south.
Cold at first
According to the current forecast, the weather will be variable over the next week in almost the entire country.
Jenna Salminen says the week starts with slightly cooler temperatures.
– It will be around 15 to 20 degrees in Götaland and Norrland. In Svealand it gets a little warmer.
The sun will peek out sometimes during Monday and Tuesday – but it is on Wednesday that the “wind of change” really blows over Sweden.
– Then it will be at least 25 degrees in Göta and Svealand. In southern Sweden, it can be up to 30, says Jenna Salminen.
How close to 30 it will be depends on how long the heat wave lasts.
Towards the end of the week, Foreca expects significantly lower temperatures, at least in northern Sweden, where it will also rain quite a bit.
– It is difficult to say how it will turn out. For the time being, the forecast is a bit uncertain for the end of the week, says Jenna Salminen.
