Pierre Péju returns this time with a collection of short stories. A disguised essay that combines three stories that echo each other and propel the reader into a reflection on literature, identity, art and death.

His storytelling skills are well established. He makes us discover the voice of a child who had lost hers in “La Petite Chartreuse”, portrayed the horror of war with poetry in “Le Rire de l’ogre”, even spoke to us about God in the State of Heaven. Finally, not so surprising as a theme for someone who is also a philosopher.

This time, he is also putting on his third hat, that of an essayist, to feed his new work, a fiction nonetheless. Pierre Péju propels us with a bang into the middle of three very different universes. He has just published a collection of short stories entitled “Effractions” published by Gallimard.

Reportage : the Dakar International Contemporary Art Biennial continues until June 21. In parallel, there is the “off” program where the exhibition “Onomatopoeia, foo ma toppé? – which means “why do you follow me”? or “why are you sticking to my skin? “.
