“Newky” was the winner in the Future of Automotive Design Competition organized by Uludağ Automotive Industry Exporters Association.
Awards were found at the Future of Automotive Design Competition (OGTY), organized by Uludağ Automotive Industry Exporters Association (OİB) to develop value-added products and technologies in the Turkish automotive industry. The winner of the OGTY, which was held for the 12th time this year with the theme of “Sustainability”, was Çetin Kosifoğlu with his Newky project. According to the statement, Newky, which won the grand prize of 360 thousand TL, features a vehicle cyber security box equipped with artificial intelligence and sensors. Newky, which passes the user’s biometric data through multi-factor authentication on the mobile phone with artificial intelligence and turns the phone into a secure digital key, thus protects the vehicles connected by scanning the QR code from cyber attacks. The project also detects parts replacement and theft attempts in shared vehicles and provides information for intervention.

The competition, organized by OİB with the support of the Ministry of Commerce and under the coordination of the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM), was held in the Informatics Valley, hosted by OİB Chairman of the Board of Directors Baran Çelik and OGTY Executive Board Chairman Ömer Burhanoğlu.
In the competition, which hosts many participants from industry professionals to academics, from entrepreneurs to students, innovative projects that will make a difference in the industry will receive a total of 1 million 200 thousand TL cash prize, as well as project development at the İTÜ Çekirdek Early Stage Incubation Center, competition on the İTÜ Big Bang stage and the experience and experience of the automotive industry. It also gained privileges such as benefiting from its wide network.
Enes Koşar’s project Wyseye, which was selected second in OGTYworks on the final status determination of vehicles on the production line, at the delivery points to the end user, and in authorized and private services, using image processing and artificial intelligence algorithms.
The project, which detects minor damage on the vehicle quickly and precisely, can be used to increase the efficiency of production lines, optimize quality control processes and ensure smooth delivery of vehicles to customers, and aims to create a major transformation in the insurance and mobility sectors.
Digital trainer Point 3S developed by Driven AVS company of Josef Karaburun, who came third in OGTYIt is a device that can be easily installed in racing vehicles and analyzes driving lap by lap with sensors placed in the vehicle.
Aiming at racing pilots, the project divides the track into mini sectors, identifies the mini sector where the most time is lost, and offers a mini analysis to the user. Thanks to the camera on it, it plays the mistake made on the screen with a single touch, making the learning process easier.
Speaking at the ceremony, OİB Chairman of the Board of Directors Baran Çelik said, “In January-September this year, our automotive exports increased by 15 percent, reaching 25.6 billion dollars. We were aiming for a record export of 34 billion dollars in 2023, when we celebrate the 100th anniversary of our Republic.
However, I can give this good news: we will exceed this target at the end of the year and reach the highest export figure in the history of the Republic with 35 billion dollars.

Ömer Burhanoğlu, Chairman of the OGTY Executive Board, said: “We have distributed approximately 667 thousand dollars in cash awards to 119 projects that have received awards in OGTY so far. We have been continuing the follow-up of the projects in cooperation with ITU Çekirdek since 2015.
The projects we support have so far received an investment of 22.6 million dollars, reached a turnover of 26 million dollars and employment of 1,000 people, and 48 percent have been incorporated.
