A New Zealand couple who have been stuck in Iran for nearly four months have been able to leave the country.
The travel blogging newlyweds entered Iran from Turkey in early July. But followers, friends and family were concerned when shortly afterwards they stopped updating their social media accounts.
New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern now says the government has been working hard for months to ensure a safe exit for the couple, who have endured “difficult circumstances”.
