Ryan Crouser improved his own world record. Just a week ago, he was complaining that there were problems with the renewed technology.
American horror Ryan Crouser has set a new shot put world record in Idaho, USA. Crouser scored a 23.38, says (you switch to another service) International Association of Athletics Federations WA.
The reading surpasses 30-year-old Crouser’s previous ME result by one centimeter. On indoor tracks, his previous record was 22.82, which means it improved by more than half a meter.
Next, Crouser’s result goes through WA’s normal ratification process.
WA accepts world records for both indoor and outdoor tracks. Records are also kept of indoor track records, but there is no longer a separate ME listing for outdoor tracks.
Crouser opened his competition season the previous weekend with a result of 22.58. He used a new technique where a step is added to the rotation.
– It has led to a small inconsistency. Hopefully we’ll get it fixed in the coming months, Crouser said a week ago.
Only a week went by, and already the biggest ball result of all time was born. Crouser has now crossed the 23-meter mark in seven races in his career.
Crouser is a two-time Olympic champion (2016 in Rio and 2021 in Tokyo). In addition, he has World Championship gold and World Championship silver.
The previous ME 23.37 was born in the summer of 2021 in the US Olympic qualifiers.
