Today, November 2nd, the new servers are starting in New World. We at MeinMMO accompany the Fresh Start with a small ticker.
8:11 p.m.: Prime time queues:
8:02 p.m: Cleopatra is here.
8:00 p.m.: Ulthar is the next new server.
7:59 p.m: New World has over 110,000 players. Record in 2022 and 7th place in the current Steamcharts.
7:55 p.m: Shortly before Cleopatra the server Morgaine was started.
7:52 p.m.: By the way, just over 110,000 simultaneous players is the best value for 2022. With 102,000 we are pretty close.
7:50 p.m: In a few minutes the last regular new server Cleopatra will start.
19:30 o’clock: No new server so far. Jupiter also has 3,000 queue.
7:21 p.m.: In the forum, some players are asking for bigger servers instead of more. The developers explain that it shouldn’t be more for the gaming experience and that the performance would also suffer with larger servers.
7:19 p.m.: New server Jupiter, still without waiting.
7:16 p.m: Dracul (the event server for streamers only) has 12 people in the queue, Crassus 800. The other servers are four digits.
7:08 p.m.: And already 3,100 players in the queue.
7:07 p.m: Apophis is here.
7:06 p.m: New World jumps over the 100,000 concurrent players. 19,000 left until Lost Ark.
7:02 p.m.: Apophis takes his time, Galahad started for that.
6:54 p.m: in a few minutes Apophis will appear. A new server, a new opportunity.
6:52 p.m: The character creation error should be fixed:
Character creation limits have been adjusted! You may try again now to make a character when you otherwise could not.
6:50 p.m.: Current Queues:
6:46 p.m: New World cracks the 90,000 concurrent players. This puts the MMORPG in 8th place on Steam.
6:43 p.m.: Amazon seems to be much more flexible with the servers than at release. But: The official announcements about the other servers are so late that they are already full.
6:42 p.m: Kronos is another new server, also already queued.
6:40 p.m.: All new servers have queues, but the three newest ones are still in the triple digits.
6:36 p.m.: Dracul is also a new server and is currently queueless.
6:34 p.m: If we understand correctly, new servers have been opened out of line with Crassus and Fate.
6:30 p.m.: Overall, over 22,000 players are still waiting in queue for the Fresh Start. That would be about 10 more servers.
6:27 p.m.: If you are still looking for a few guides to New World:
6:25 p.m: Keep an eye on the server list. It is quite possible that an additional server will come at half past.
6:20 p.m: Some players are also complaining about an error message saying they cannot create a character even though they have space to do so.
The developers are already working on a solution.
6:15 p.m.: The developers warn against leaving queues and creating new characters too often. You could get into a bot timeout with this:
Please be careful with leaving queue to make another character, there ARE limits to prevent character spamming (bot protection) and you’ll be locked out for a time limit.
6:12 p.m.: With over 86,000 concurrent players, we’re currently at mid-January levels.
6:10 p.m.: Queues:
6:02 p.m: The second or third server Gawain is live.
6:00 p.m.: There are currently around 13,000 players waiting for the new Artemis server and 3,000 for Imhotep. Even the three upcoming servers, each with 2,000 to 2,500 seats, cannot absorb the rush.
Amazon has yet to respond.
5:55 p.m.: Another server out of line was launched with Imhotep.
5:50 p.m: On Steam, New World is once again reaching high player counts. With just 78,000 concurrent players, it’s above February’s level.
New World last had 100,000 players on January 6th. Let’s see if they get cracked tonight.
17:35 Clock: As expected, there were queues in no time. The picture comes from our boss Dawid, who wanted to test New World again today.
17:30: The first server Artemis should start any moment now. We will see what that means in concrete terms for the start of the other servers.
5:05 p.m.: The start of the new servers will be delayed by 15 to 30 minutes. Community manager Luxendra revealed this in the forum.
When does the Fresh Start take place? The new servers will start at different times on November 2nd. Four servers will be opened for Europe, each of which will appear one hour later:
