The people in charge at Amazon Games are holding a second beta phase in just a few days before the official launch of New World Aeternum on October 15, 2024. Below, MeinMMO summarizes everything you need to know about the open test phase.
When does the New World Aeternum open beta start?
The New World Aeternum open beta runs from September 13, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. to September 16, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. The beta version is scheduled to be available for download from September 11, 2024, at 6:00 p.m.
On which platforms can I participate?
You have the freedom to choose whether you want to try Aeternum on PC, PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X|S. Since crossplay is enabled between the consoles and PC, you can also easily team up with your friends, no matter what platform they are on.
Important: On Xbox, you don’t need an active Game Pass subscription to participate in the beta. However, if you want to participate from Germany on PlayStation 5, you will definitely need a PlayStation Plus subscription.

What rewards are there for participating in the beta?
Anyone who takes part in the open beta of New World Aeternum can earn some rewards for the launch version. Four out of five goodies are tied to the level you reach during the beta:
In the open beta, you can reach a maximum of level 30. Also note that you will only receive the rewards for the platform on which you played the beta. So if you want to earn the goodies for the PC version of New World, you will also have to play the beta on the PC.

What is the scope of the open beta?
The scope of the beta includes the start of the game and the first quest series up to level 30. At that point, you will have unlocked features such as mounts, arenas, influence races and some expeditions.
Important: All progress from the open beta will be deleted once it ends. You will also not have access to the in-game shop during the test phase.
