What new content is included in the expansion? The new DLC for New World aims to transform the MMORPG into more of an action RPG. The update is intended to adapt and improve the gameplay and user interface for the console. The combat system is set to be much more action-packed and controllers will also be supported from now on.
New content includes a 10-player raid, a faster leveling system and solo trials in the endgame. New character archetypes and an extensive PvP zone are to be included in the expansion. For story fans, there is a new dialogue system and an improved story.
How much will the expansion cost? The expansion is free for players on Steam if they already own the base game New World and the latest DLC “Rise of the Angry Earth”.
For players on PS5 and XBOX Series X|S, the expansion costs €59.99 for the standard edition and €79.99 for the deluxe edition.
What is included in the Deluxe Edition? The Deluxe Edition includes New World Aeternum, the Corrupted Mauler bear mount, and the Corrupted Soul armor skin. All pre-orders will also receive the Azoth Stalker wolf mount.
Can you play New World Aeternum together? Yes, you can play the new DLC on PS5, XBOX Series X|S and PC together. All characters can be on the same servers and crossplay is possible.
Can I play my character from Steam on PS5 or XBOX? No, your characters that you created on one platform are tied to that platform. This means that you cannot move your Steam character to the PS5, or vice versa. Transferring the character is not possible.
Anyone who pre-orders New World on the console before the release will receive the “Azoth Stalker” wolf mount for free. For PC players, one login is enough until the new expansion starts on one character.
