With the new Brimstone Sands area, some new story quests have been implemented in New World. One is called “A God Awakens” and is a bit difficult to solve. We at MeinMMO reveal how you have to deal with the portals.
What is this quest? In this new quest you have to face the “Trial of the Nine Gates” and cross a total of nine gates. To do this, you enter a platform with three teleporters each – left, middle, right:
However, the correct portal keeps changing. In order to solve the puzzle, you can either decode the characters, play around wildly, or use this guide, in which we’ll tell you exactly which portal you have to activate and when.

Properly activate the portals in the Trial of the Nine Gates
Portal 1: Use the switch in the middle for this portal.

Have you used the ninth portal, you meet again on Imhotep. Afterwards you have to go back to the exit portal and visit the necropolis of Sutekh. There you still have to face a boss and you have completed the entire quest “A God Awakens”.
