A new wolf attack took place on Wednesday on a farm north of Norrtälje, according to the county administrative board. A total of five sheep were killed.
“Inspection personnel from the County Administrative Board were on site on Wednesday, September 20 and were able to establish that it was a wolf that killed the sheep,” the authority writes in a press release.
“There is no wolf territory in the area where the attack took place. It is likely that it is a wolf that is on a migration, which is common in the spring and autumn when most young wolves leave their birth areas,” continues the county administrative board.
Wednesday’s incident was the third wolf attack in Norrtälje municipality since September 7.
