New Witcher 3 Mod Brings Back Cut Content: Boat Races
Boat Races This mod, called “Race to Race”, was created by MerseyRockoff and currently allows players to participate in four different regattas held in Novigrad, Oxenfurt, Kaer Trolde and Holmstein. Each race can be started on the bulletin board of the relevant city, similar to horse races. While the bulletin boards will be used for initial participation, players can later start races by visiting the locations where these races are taking place directly.
“This mod brings back CDPR’s original Boat Races idea. These were planned during the game’s development, but were cut from the final version. With the release of the REDkit, 100% of the boat race scenario was found in the game files, allowing the restoration process to begin. Only the text and audio files were found, the rest was created from scratch based on CDPR’s writings and careful review of the files. This means that all conversations, characters, notifications and journal entries in the mod were originally written by CDPR, but recreated and brought to life by me using the REDkit,” explained MerseyRockoff, the mod’s creator.
