Five days have passed since the devastating floods in eastern Spain. At least 210 people have been confirmed dead as a result and an extensive search is underway for an unknown number of missing people.
Now the Spanish Meteorological Institute is warning of thunderstorms that could potentially bring a lot of rain in the already affected regions.
In the southern parts of the Valencia region there is a risk that the storm can bring up to about 40 millimeters of rain in just one hour, and in the northern parts there is a risk of up to 20 millimeters in an hour. The institute also warns that in places it may fall up to 100 millimeters in twelve hours.
