New weapon has the potential to dominate the meta, reminds players of a legendary assault rifle from MW1

Call of Duty Warzone and MW3 got 2 new weapons with Season 1 Reloaded. Some experts believe one of them could soon dominate the meta.

What new weapon is it? With Season 1 Reloaded, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone got two new weapons, including an SMG called the HRM-9.

The HRM-9 is already being described by many YouTubers as a really good weapon that could perhaps even determine the meta in the coming weeks.

The special thing about the HRM-9 is that it reminds many players who were already there in MW1 (2019) and were playing Warzone at the time of the Grau 5.56. Because the iron sight (rear and front sight) is almost identical if you equip a specific barrel.

What was the Grau 5.56? The Grau 5.56 was an assault rifle in CoD MW1 (2019) and Warzone that featured extremely low recoil. The weapon was very stable while firing and did not require much skill or training to be able to control it.

Later in the video he says that the Iron Sight also reminds him of the Grau 5.56: “The gun is so cool. The Iron Sisght is just the gray, it’s the gray MP and I love it completely.”

Other English-speaking content creators have also already published their first videos about the HRM-9. For example, FaZe Swagg says in a video:

On the “Warzone Meta” website, the HRM-9 has already risen to the “best Warzone loadouts” category with different loadouts (via wzstats.gg). On the site, all weapons with their different setups are recorded and rated in a kind of tier list.

It also says that the HRM-9 is already being played in 9.35% of all Warzone matches and is even ranked above the MTZ Interceptor, the WASP Swarm and the Holger 26, all of which are also counted among the meta loadouts.

How should the HRM-9 be played? Since the weapon has only been in the game for a few days, opinions on what the best setup for the weapon is may change. Currently, this combination is particularly worth recommending:

  • Barrel – Princeps Long Barrel
  • Underflow – DR-6 Handstop
  • Shoulder rest – folding stock
  • Magazine – 50 Round Drum
