With the new season “Vondel” moved into Call of Duty: Warzone. The new map will soon also be available for Battle Royale, including a new Gulag. This has now been leaked and is delighting the players.
What’s new in Warzone?
This is the new map: Vondel is based in the Netherlands and is roughly between Al-Mazrah and Ashika Island in terms of size. There are 15 points of interest – including a zoo, a football stadium and a medieval castle.
Due to the fact that it is a city map with many buildings, Vondel looks like the exact opposite of Al-Mazrah at first glance. Along with this is also a new Gulag.
Here is the trailer for the new Warzone map Vondel:
New gulag creates Verdansk vibes
What is the Gulag anyway? The Gulag is a kind of mini-game that takes place on a compact map in Call of Duty: Warzone. There, 2 players who were eliminated in the Warzone fight each other for a second chance in the form of a respawn.
What should the new Gulag look like? In the subreddit r/CoDWarzone, u/TheRealPdGaming posted a post that offers a glimpse into the new Gulag. Its structure is reminiscent of the popular Gulag of the first Warzone map, “Gulag Showers”.
You can find a video clip from the supposed new Gulag on Reddit. If you don’t want to be spoiled, don’t click the link. Note, however, that this is only an unofficial leak.
It remains to be seen whether and in what form the new Gulag will come into play.
The similarities in layout between the new Gulag and Verdansk’s “Gulag Showers” are striking. Even if the design is different, both maps have a similar structure.
The middle spot where the capture flag appears looks like a copy in a new skin.
The fans seem to be satisfied, some users comment on this under the Reddit post. elpipita20 writes, “It looks a bit like Verdansk’s bathroom gulag as they both have the same basic layout”, receiving 306 upvotes and thus a lot of approval.

ZipToob88 replies, “I was about to say the same thing – same symmetry and flag point. I love it.”
NoNefariousness2144 agrees, “That’s all I want; no fancy gimmicks, just doors and corners to keep an eye on.”
It seems to be a small glimmer of hope for many players. For some, however, the Battle Royale is no longer an issue after the end of the original Warzone – MeinMMO editor Maik says goodbye to the game:
