A new volcanic eruption has occurred on the Reykjanes peninsula in Iceland. Strong seismic activity was recorded by the Norwegian Meteorological Institute near Fagradalsfjall at 05:20 and magma rose to the surface around 06:00, Icelandic broadcaster RUV reports.
