The Joker star plays the traumatized protagonist who wants to travel home after the death of his domineering mother. Here Beau wants to find out more about the mysterious circumstances surrounding her death. This creates one crazy odyssey through disturbing situations and surreal worlds of images.

In the new video for Beau Is Afraid, Aster describes his upcoming film as The Lord of the Rings being Jewish, but in which the main character only wants to come to his mother’s house.
