Square Enix announces new Final Fantasy 16 update
Many games today receive frequent updates aimed at fixing bugs and adding various quality improvements. However, Square Enix hasn’t released many patches for Final Fantasy 16. Previous updates added new controller configurations and the option to customize the motion blur level. But it did not receive major patches that brought major changes. Square Enix has announced a new update for Final Fantasy 16.
As reported by Push Square, the upcoming patch for Final Fantasy 16 will make adjustments to how Arcade Mode evaluates player performance. A new leaderboard will also be added to the game, but this update is not expected to bring any further changes. According to the same report, the new Final Fantasy 16 update will be released on Sunday, August 27.
Old missions will be re-experienced with Arcade Mode
Arcade Mode in Final Fantasy 16 gives fans the opportunity to replay previous stages of the game, allowing them to score higher and compare their performance with other players. Arcade Mode provides a great way for players to re-experience their previously completed Final Fantasy 16 mission, while also giving them the opportunity to test out new abilities.
While it may not seem like a major update, it will be interesting to see the changes to Arcade Mode when the new Final Fantasy 16 update rolls out later this week. Final Fantasy 16 didn’t have many bugs when it was released, but maybe this update can fix less common issues as well.
Also, Square Enix has yet to officially reveal its DLC plans for Final Fantasy 16. But it looks like the game will get some kind of DLC in the future. Final Fantasy 16 producer Naoki Yoshida has hinted that the DLC is in development. But of course, players need to wait for Square Enix to share more information for more concrete details.
