The Umbrella Academy is one of Netflix’s most reliable seriesSince 2019, the superhero story has been collecting positive reviews and satisfactory numbers. It’s not a record-breaking high-flyer like Wednesday, Bridgerton or Stranger Things, but it’s a safe bet. At least until season 4.
For the first time, the series finale received mixed reviews, and fan reactions were even more extreme. Disappointment seems to be spreading. Despite this, season 4 landed at number 1 in the Netflix series charts last week. But it didn’t stay there for long.

American Murder: Laci Peterson is now number 1 in Germanya true crime documentary consisting of three episodes. The miniseries reopens the case of Laci Peterson. The expectant mother was reported missing by her husband Scott Peterson in 2002. A year later, the bodies of Laci and her unborn son were found.

At the time of this article, The Umbrella Academy is only ranked second on the Netflix charts. Interestingly, this does not only apply to GermanyIn the USA, the series was replaced after less than a week by the comedy special Matt Rife: Lucid – A Crowd Work Special. In countries such as France, Mexico and Argentina, it remains at number 1.
According to What’s on Netflix’s analysis, the series started with fewer views overall than the third season. Regardless of the quality of the finale, this indicates a decline in interest. Many Netflix series don’t make it past the third season and in this case the story arc seems to have been overstretched.
