Lately it seemed as if the big fantasy stuff had migrated to television. Even the most recent Middle-earth adventure was told in the form of a series, although the films co-wrote with Harry Potter in the early 2000s Fantasy boom in the cinema triggered. Two decades later, however, things are different.
As The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power expands on Amazon, another fantasy franchise sees its chance to take the cinema throne: Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves. It is a film adaptation of the same name Tabletop RPG. The new trailer shows what we can expect from it.

Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves awaits lots of action and monsters up, while Chris Pine, as a musically talented thief, gathers a team of criminals around him. These include the barbarian Holga (Michelle Rodriguez), the sorcerer Simon (Justice Smith), the druid Doric (Sophia Lillis) and the paladin Xenk (Regé-Jean Page). A very cheerful Hugh Grant appears as an opponent.
Based on the new trailer, we could expect a highly entertaining fantasy action-adventure. Particularly exciting: The new Dungeons & Dragons film is supposed to start with a new cinematic universe will. The streaming service Paramount+ has already given the green light to a spin-off series. We are curious to see whether the creative minds behind the ambitious company will succeed in launching a D&DCU.
When will Dungeons & Dragons be in cinemas?
We don’t have to wait much longer for Dungeons & Dragons: Honor among Thieves. The film will celebrate its world premiere at South by Southwest on March 10, 2023. A few weeks later, on March 30, 2023it starts in German cinemas.
