What Happens in John Wick 4: The Action Movie Story
It feels like there has been information about the action sequel for years, but when it comes to specific information about the plot, we are groping in the dark. The following is known from the official side:
John Wick (Keanu Reeves) takes on his deadliest opponents yet in the upcoming fourth installment of the series. As the price that’s on his head keeps growing, Wick extends his fight against the high table to the rest of the worldas he seeks out the most powerful minds in the underworld, from New York to Paris to Osaka and Berlin.
Part 4 also features martial arts icon Donnie Yen, undisputed whipping boy Scott Adkins and Pennywise actor Bill Skarsgård in the cast alongside some familiar faces from the world of the series. The latter is likely to be the new main antagonist if we go by the new trailer. Chad Stahelski is directing again.
Part 4 of the Keanu Reeves series will be the first without the John Wick creator
However, John Wick 4 will differ from its predecessors in one respect. The new chapter is namely the first series in which Derek Kolstad was not involved. Of the Creator of John Wick hinted in an interview with Collider that the studio didn’t want to use his services on the new film.
Kolstad will take it. The sought-after author, who also wrote the action film Nobody, is working on a Splinter Cell adaptation, a John Wick series called The Continental and several other projects, among other projects.
John Wick 4 will be released on March 23, 2023 in German cinemas.
