New trailer features Jack Black as Stalin and Taika Waititi

With some sequels no one would have ever expected in their wildest dreams. History of the World: Part II is a prime example. The series sequel to Mel Brooks’ ludicrous historical gossip The Crazy History of the World from 1981 now tells the second part of human history with an incredible number of stars. Jack Black and Taika Waititi are just two of them, as the new trailer now shows.

With Jack Black and Taika Waititi: Mel Brooks tells of slavery and Stalin

There, as in the previous feature film, various stations in world history are made fun of. Instead of Moses or the French Revolution, now must the history of slavery in the southern states, the invention of psychoanalysis and use the rule of Joseph Stalin (Black) as a target. In addition to Black and Waititi, the following stars are represented in the series:

Judging by the trailer, Brooks himself will take on a part in the series. The now 96-year-old comedy veteran was also responsible for other cult comedies such as Spaceballs or Robin Hood – Heroes in Tights.

When is History of the World: Part II coming to Germany?

Unfortunately, there is currently no German start date for History of the World: Part II. The eight-part comedy series will be released in the USA from March 6th on the streaming service Hulu. In this country, it could appear shortly thereafter on Disney +.
