Now a government investigation in Norway is proposing that foreign tourists who visit the country should participate and contribute to the preservation of Norwegian natural values through a new tourist tax.
The tax must be collected via various companies that transport tourists to and from Norway. The funds must be used both locally and regionally, but managed locally, in order to preserve Norwegian nature and culture.
