Kristine Stavås Skistad has had a tough season.
The Norwegian ski star has failed to live up to expectations.
Now comes another sad message for Stavås Skistad.
Even before the season began, the nightmare for the Norwegian ski star came Kristine Stavås Skistad. Then she was forced into a mysterious stomach surgery and no one in Norway wanted to tell you what it was about.
Stavås Skistad’s miss
The entire season opening was destroyed for the sprint star who came back to the ski tracks only in December. Therefore, there were not many World Cups before it was time for winter’s big goals-the ski World Cup 2025 in Trondheim.

Stavås Skistad entered the championship with high expectations and pointed out as a gold favorite in the sprint. But once again was Jonna Sundling Unstoppable and Kristine had to settle for a World Cup silver that she didn’t even want.
Kristine’s tough message
Then she failed completely in the team sprint and became only seven in team with Lotta Udnes Weng. Neither did the World Cup final in Finnish Lahti became what the Norwegian hoped for, as Stavås Skistad became second individually and again seven in the team sprint.

Now comes the next tough message for the Norwegian sprint star. She is forced to refuse the Norwegian championship in Hovden which ends the ski season.
– Kristine is exhausted after a demanding season with surgery and rehabilitation throughout the fall. She has, in consultation with the medical team and coach, chosen to end this year’s season and will therefore not compete in the NM, says national team doctor Ove Ferage to Norwegian NTB.
