In Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty, Idris Elba takes on the role of Solomon Reed, who will assist players in an action-packed conflict. The announcement caused a big surprise and enthusiastic hoots at the Game Awards.

What is the Cyberpunk 2077 expansion Phantom Liberty about?

V, the (or alternatively the) protagonist: in Cyberpunk 2077, is a mercenary. For Eddies, the currency in the dystopian world centered around the metropolis Night City, V does everything from theft and corporate espionage to taking down cyberpsychos who have lost control of their implants. She is constantly accompanied by the former Terrorist and rock star Johnny Silverhand (Keanu Reeves), who now only exists on a chip in her head.

In Phantom Liberty, conflict erupts between the New United States of America, a dead capitalized country under the control of big business and the military, and the Free States – which includes Night City. According to CD Projekt RED, the game reminiscent of a spy thriller, and consequently seems to focus more on the political conflicts of the dystopian sci-fi world. And guess who gets caught between the fronts? Of course, V and her constant companion Johnny.
