New synthetic alcohol promises intoxication without a hangover: “Could become very popular”

Leksand extended the winning streak beat AIK

The British researcher David Natt has developed synthetic alcohol that should cause a person to neither become addicted nor have a severe hangover the day after.

The researcher’s company is just one of several trying to get such a product onto the market, and Henrik Sundén, docent in organic chemistry at the University of Gothenburg, is positive that more studies are being done on the subject.

– If you achieve all the positive effects that the researchers are looking for, I think it can be a real sales success, but again you have to address questions such as is it toxic? Are there any side effects, like addiction for example?
