New Swedish success in biathlon World Cup in Oberhof

Leksand extended the winning streak beat AIK

The Biathlon World Cup in German Oberhof has been a real smashing success for the Swedish national team – and the success continued during the last day of the championship.

On Sunday morning, Sebastian Samuelsson took gold and Martin Ponsiluoma silver in the mass start over 15 kilometers, which meant a total of ten blue and yellow medals – and the best Swedish result ever.

In the afternoon, the WC saga continued, when it was time for the ladies’ mass start, over 12.5 kilometers.

Despite missing the first shot, Hanna Öberg managed to catch up and finished by shooting full, when the French rivals missed each shot – and was then able to sprint into another Swedish gold, her fourth individual in her career.

Norwegian Ingrid Landmark Tandrevold snagged second place.
