The man who is in his 20s and a resident in the Umeå area has been arrested for a serious violation of the Law on flammable and explosive goods for over a month.
The police suspect that the man has handled splitter bombs that would be transported from Skellefteå to Umeå and used to blow up a restaurant and a car.
The man was called for in his absence at the end of January this year and was internationally wanted when Thai police intervened in February and deported him to Sweden.
Serious drug crime
Now he is suspected of new crime and has been arrested for it as well. The suspicions apply to serious drug crimes between July 25 and January 18 this year, both in Umeå and other places in Sweden. Earlier, a 25-year-old man is arrested in the same case.
– I mean that there is a connection between these people’s work that makes it tested in the same case, says prosecutor Stina Stener.
The detention hearing is planned to be held on Thursday.
