Since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, Russian hackers have been accused of more and more attacks against IT systems in the West.

According to BFV, the group’s task is to spy and carry out sabotage, including by publishing stolen data.

  • Burglary in church – large valuable goods stolen

A large amount of valuable goods has been stolen from a church in Skara after a burglary.

It is unclear what was stolen.

  • The Tidö parties present climate news

One billion kroner in the autumn budget goes to increased energy supply and to promote a green transition.

The new investment support for the electricity system is called “kraftlyftet” and, according to Energy Minister Ebba Busch (KD), is an investment support to strengthen the electricity system’s capabilities where the needs are greatest.

    – So it is about investments in electricity production, energy storage, flexibility or other system services that are currently not available on market grounds, says Ebba Busch at a press meeting with Tidöpartierna.

The government also wants to get municipalities to say yes to new wind power to a greater extent.

    – The government will invest in support to the municipalities corresponding to the income from the property tax on wind power plants for municipalities that say yes to new wind power, says climate minister Romina Pourmokhtari (L).

The support to the municipalities will correspond to the property tax for wind power. This means SEK 340 million in 2025, SEK 370 million in 2026 and SEK 400 million in 2027.

The government must come back to exactly how the compensation to the municipalities is to be distributed.

During the first half of 2024, 188 families with children were evicted in Sweden, statistics from the Kronofogden show. This is an increase of 13 percent compared to the same period last year. A total of 342 children were affected, which is a similar level as before.

“It is deeply worrying that the number of children affected by evictions remains at such a high level. Every child who is affected by an eviction is in a very vulnerable situation, regardless of whether they live full-time or part-time with the parent who is evicted,” says Davor Vuleta, private financial spokesperson at the Swedish Enforcement Agency, in a press release.

In total, the Kronofogden carried out 1,579 evictions during the first half of the year. The number of evictions decreased until 2017, but has since increased. In the last two years, evictions have increased by 26 percent.
