There will soon be supplies for survival fans. A new game is appearing on Steam that could be interesting for fans of the genre and especially for fans of Zelda and Animal Crossing.
What game is it about? We’re talking about Towers of Aghasba, a Dreamlit title. Inc. It is the first game from the studio founded in 2020 and is one of the most exciting survival titles of 2024.
In Towers of Aghasba you explore a wide, open world, the eponymous island of Aghasba. It is now a matter of rebuilding the villages and towns and helping the ecosystem to flourish again.
And you don’t do it alone: Together with other players you can discover the world, help each other and ensure, little by little, that the once blooming flora and fauna shine in new splendor.
With the glider through the air
What does the game offer? In the trailer and in the newly released gameplay showcase on YouTube you can see the character floating through the air on a glider. It is a practical way to explore the large game world and is reminiscent of The Legend of Zelda.
When it comes to restoring the ecosystem including dinosaurs and other creatures, the developers offer you a few options. There are three types of ecosystems in question, as well as three types of cities that you can build.
You can unlock over 40 creatures and grow over 120 plants – greetings from Animal Crossing. There will also be small activities like fishing, as well as fights. You will encounter enemies in the ruins of the game world.
When does the game come out? Towers of Aghasba was announced as part of a PlayStation showcase in 2023, and the title can be played as early as November.
The developers have scheduled the start of early access for November 19th. Interested players can purchase Towers of Aghasba for €29.99. More features will be added over time.
How the game ultimately performs remains to be seen. After all, the competition in the survival game genre is fierce. If you can’t wait and are looking for a good recommendation, take a look at MeinMMO: The 28 best survival games of 2024 for PS5, Steam and Xbox
