Aircraft alarms once again sounded over Kyiv early on Monday. Russia attacked the Ukrainian capital with more than 20 Iranian-made suicide drones overnight. At least 15 of them were shot down by the Ukrainian air defense, Kiev’s military administration said on social media.
A critical infrastructure target has been hit, the military added, without providing further details.
Since Friday’s extensive Russian robot attack against large parts of Ukraine, nine million people had had power restored by Sunday evening, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated in his evening speech. At the same time, fighting continues in the eastern parts of Ukraine, including in the hard-hit town of Bachmut in the Donetsk region.
